WFS Men's O60's Regional Cup - Central Region Champions!

🏆 CENTRAL REGION MAKE IT BACK-TO-BACK REGIONAL CUP TRIUMPHS! 🏆

The Walking Football Scotland Regional Cup series continued today at Toryglen Regional Football Centre as the Men’s Over 60s Regional teams from across the country came together to battle for regional honours.

Representatives from all five regions descended on Glasgow for another highly competitive day of walking football, with some outstanding quality, high-intensity matches and terrific football on display throughout the tournament. The standard of play demonstrated just how strong and competitive walking football continues to be across Scotland.

After a fantastic afternoon’s action, it was Central Region who once again emerged victorious, making it two Regional Cup titles from two events after adding the Men’s O60s trophy to their Men’s O65s success from last week.

Congratulations to all of the Central Region players, and in particular to Manager Richard Sinclair and Assistant Manager Owen Kelly, who have guided their teams to an impressive double in the opening events of the 2026 Regional Cup programme.

A huge thank you goes to all players, referees, volunteer managers and assistant managers who continue to give their time and commitment to make these events such a success. Their dedication plays a vital role in the ongoing growth and development of walking football across Scotland.

These events are proudly supported through the Summer of Sport programme, helping us provide meaningful opportunities for players from every corner of the country to represent their region and enjoy the many benefits of the game.

Attention now turns to next weekend, when the Men’s O50s Regional Cup takes centre stage alongside our Women’s Regional Cup competitions. With an exciting new format introduced for 2026, the women’s categories will now feature Over 40s and Over 55s age groups, promising another fantastic occasion of regional football at Ravenscraig.
