National Team Hampden Visit
/Walking Football Scotland’s National Team took another historic step forward last week as the squad were officially welcomed into the National Stadium ahead of their upcoming trip to Switzerland for the UEFA International Walking Football Festival on 25th June.
The nine selected squad members were proudly kitted out in the Scotland national team strip as preparations continued for what will be a landmark occasion — representing their country in Scotland’s first ever international walking football match.
From the moment the players pulled on the famous jersey to the unforgettable experience of walking down the tunnel at the National Stadium, the occasion was filled with pride, excitement and emotion.
The visit marked a huge milestone for both the players and Walking Football Scotland, highlighting the continued growth of the game and the opportunities now available on the international stage.
For every member of the squad, it was a truly special experience and one that will live long in the memory as they now look ahead to proudly representing Scotland in Switzerland later this month.
