Walking football continues to thrive across Scotland, with clubs enjoying success on the pitch while making a real difference in their communities. This latest round-up showcases the very best of the game—from major tournaments to memorial festivals that honour those who helped shape our walking football family.

As always, it’s the friendships, respect and community spirit behind these events that make walking football so special.

Walking Football Community Comes Together for Geordie Muir Memorial Festival ❤️⚽

More than 60 men and women came together on 5 July for the annual Geordie Muir Memorial Walking Football Festival, enjoying a fantastic day of football, friendship and remembering a much-loved member of the walking football community.

Players showcased not only their footballing ability and competitive spirit, but also the respect, sportsmanship and good humour that make walking football so special. The festival once again highlighted the strong sense of camaraderie that exists both on and off the pitch.

Special recognition also goes to Margaret Muir for her wonderful home baking, which was greatly appreciated by everyone in attendance and added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Congratulations to Arbroath FC Walking Football Club and everyone involved in organising another fitting tribute to Geordie Muir, creating a memorable day that celebrated football, friendship and community in equal measure. 👏❤️⚽

John Cunningham Memorial Festival Celebrates Friendship and Community ❤️⚽

The annual John Cunningham Memorial Festival once again brought the walking football community together for a memorable day of football, friendship and remembrance, celebrating the life of a much-loved teammate whose passion for the game continues to inspire so many. The festival honours John Cunningham, a devoted walking footballer remembered for his warm personality, love of the game and the friendships he built through football.

Players and referees from clubs across Scotland came together to enjoy the festival in the true spirit of walking football, with the emphasis firmly on participation, camaraderie and remembering John rather than results.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who attended, played and officiated, helping to make the day another outstanding success. Organisers, Raith Rovers, also confirmed that, at the request of John's wife, Fiona, all funds raised from this year's festival will be shared between Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH) and Epilepsy Scotland, supporting two charities close to the family's heart.

The John Cunningham Memorial Festival continues to be a wonderful tribute to a man who loved football and the friendships it created, while demonstrating once again the compassion, generosity and community spirit that make walking football so special. 👏❤️⚽
