WFS O70’s Men’s East Premiership

The WFS O70’s Men’s East Premiership returned today at the Oriam National Performance Centre for Round 2, in what was a special and emotional day for everyone involved.

The day began with a minute’s applause in tribute to Gerry Butler, with the Oriam squad, venue staff, and Gerry’s wife Lorna all joining together to honour a man who made such a meaningful impact on walking football in Scotland. It was a fitting and heartfelt moment of reflection.

When it came to the football, it’s advantage Alloa Athletic, who continued their strong form with three straight wins, including an important victory over Fife Wanderers in the top-of-the-table clash.

A big thank you to all players, clubs, referees, and volunteers for contributing to a memorable day. The games were played in great spirit, with plenty of smiles — something Gerry would undoubtedly have been very proud of. ⚽
