WFS Men’s O70’s Regional Cup - Central Champions!

🏆 CENTRAL REGION CROWNED MEN’S O70’s REGIONAL CUP CHAMPIONS 🏆

The 2026 Walking Football Scotland Regional Cup series came to a fantastic conclusion today at Toryglen Regional Football Centre as the Men’s Over 70s teams competed for the final Regional Cup title of the summer.

After another day of excellent football, competitive matches and outstanding sportsmanship, it was Central Region who lifted the trophy to become 2026 Men’s O70s Regional Cup Champions.

The victory completes an incredible Regional Cup treble for Central Region, following their success in the Men’s Over 60s and Men’s Over 65s competitions earlier this summer.

Congratulations to all of the Central Region players, together with Manager Alan Prosser and Assistant Manager John Brown, whose leadership helped guide the squad to a memorable victory.

As this brings our Summer of Sport-funded Regional Cup series to a close, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to every player, volunteer manager, assistant manager, match official and volunteer who has played their part throughout the programme. Your commitment, enthusiasm and passion have helped deliver another outstanding series of events and continue to strengthen walking football across Scotland.

Over the past few weeks we have witnessed fantastic football, new champions crowned, the successful introduction of the Women’s Over 55s category, and, above all, the tremendous spirit and camaraderie that makes walking football so special.

Congratulations once again to Central Region on becoming 2026 Men’s O70s Regional Cup Champions, and thank you to everyone who made this year’s Regional Cup series such a tremendous success. 🏆⚽
