WFS O50's West Premiership, Championship & Conference

Thrilling Return for WFS O50’s Men’s West of Scotland League at Ravenscraig

Today saw the much-anticipated recommencement of the WFS O50’s Men’s West of Scotland League at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility following the summer break and the action on the pitch certainly didn’t disappoint.

Premiership
The race for the title has reached fever pitch, with the top six teams now separated by just five points as we head into the final round of fixtures in October. Pollok Utd currently hold a slender three-point lead at the summit, but with several blockbuster clashes still to come, the title is very much up for grabs. Expect fireworks as the contenders battle it out for glory.

Championship
It’s an equally nail-biting story in the Championship, where Glenafton Athletic and Dumbarton FC are level on points. Glenafton edge ahead only by virtue of a two-goal superior goal difference, meaning every goal in the closing matches could prove decisive.

Conference
In the Conference, WEBATA took a huge step towards securing the title in their debut competitive season. Their victory over second-placed Motherwell Phoenix has extended their lead to seven points at the top. Duncanrig EK remain firmly in the hunt for promotion, sitting just a single point behind Phoenix and with a game in hand. The stage is set for a dramatic final day on Sunday 5th October.

A big thank you goes out to our regional representatives and referees for their invaluable support in making today’s fixtures possible.
