SWF WFS O40's Women's Premiership & Championship - Braehead FC & Tay City Strollers - Champions!

It was a brilliant day at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility as the SWF WFS Women’s O40’s Premiership and Championship reached their dramatic conclusion, with two unbeaten champions crowned and plenty to celebrate across both leagues.

In the Premiership, Braehead FC – Reds capped off a superb season by being crowned champions and double winners, finishing the campaign unbeaten and an impressive 10 points clear of second-placed Linlithgow Rose – Whites. It’s been a standout year for the Reds, who showed consistency and quality from start to finish.

A big well done also goes to Whitletts Victoria and Braehead FC – Navy, who finished inside the top four and secured their places in this season’s Champions League alongside the champions and runners-up.

In the Championship, Tay City Strollers continued their incredible debut season by also going unbeaten as they were crowned champions. They will be promoted to the Premiership for 2026 along with Braehead FC – Blacks, who finished in a strong second place.

We were honoured to have Scottish Women’s Football CEO Aileen Campbell and WFS Patron Rose Reilly MBE with us today to present the trophies and medals to our winners. Our thanks go to them both for their ongoing support and commitment to the women’s walking football pathway.

A huge thank you to all referees, regional reps, clubs and players for a fantastic season and for helping to continue the growth of women’s walking football across Scotland.
