WFS O65’s Men’s East of Scotland League
/WFS O65’s Men’s East of Scotland League – Excitement at Oriam
The WFS Over-65 Men’s East of Scotland League resumed after the summer break at the Oriam National Performance Centre, and the day brought a major shift in the title race.
Alloa Athletic put in a dominant performance, securing four wins from four — including a crucial victory over the previous leaders, North Lanarkshire Council. Their strong showing sees Alloa move five points clear at the top of the table with only two matches left to play.
North Lanarkshire’s setback means they slip to third place, overtaken by Hearts, who now sit in second as the season reaches its decisive stage.
A big thank you to our referees, regional representatives, and all the players for delivering another great day of football at Oriam.
We look forward to seeing you all back for the final league day on Friday, 10th October, where the championship battle will reach its conclusion.
