WFS O60's Men's East of Scotland Leagues

The WFS Men’s Over 60’s East of Scotland Leagues got underway today at the Oriam National Performance Centre, with an early start to the 2026 campaign and a strong opening round of competitive walking football.

In the Premiership, it proved to be a challenging start for last year’s champions Alloa Athletic – Gold, who were unable to secure a win in their opening fixtures. After Round 1, it is Dundee East CSC who lead the way at the top of the table. Early indications suggest this season’s Premiership is set to be extremely competitive, with no single team looking likely to run away with the title.

The Championship also got off to a solid start, with teams settling into the new campaign and setting the foundations for what promises to be a closely contested division as the season progresses however after Round 1 fixtures, off the back of relegation last year, Hearts 98’ are top the league closely followed by Oriam 2015.

A big thank you goes to Regional League Co-ordinator David Callaghan, along with the support of our regional representatives and referees, for their excellent delivery of today’s fixtures. Thanks also to all clubs and players for contributing to such a strong and competitive start to the 2026 season — and for their cooperation with the earlier-than-normal start times.
