WFS O65’s Men’s West of Scotland League – Back in Action at Toryglen

After the summer break, the WFS Over-65 Men’s West of Scotland League returned to action at Toryglen with some thrilling football on display. The competition remains fierce, but one team is edging ever closer to glory.

Pollok continued their remarkable unbeaten run, adding two more victories today to make it an incredible nine wins from nine leaving them with in touching distance of the trophy with 2 games remaining.

Elsewhere, Carrick’s title hopes came to an end after dropping points today, but Ayr United remain in the hunt. With two matches left to play — including a crucial showdown against the league leaders — Ayr still have a chance to keep the race alive.

A big thank you goes to our referees, regional representatives, and, of course, all the players who made today’s games possible.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the final league day on Friday, 3rd October, where the championship will be decided.
