WFS O50's Men's East of Scotland Leagues

The 2026 WFS O50’s Men’s East of Scotland Competitive League season got underway today at the Regional Performance Centre, Dundee, with a full programme of fixtures across the Premiership, Championship and Conference. It was a great start to the new campaign, with plenty of quality football on show.

In the Premiership, reigning champions Forfar Athletic picked up right where they left off, enjoying a perfect start to their title defence with four wins from four matches. They were pushed closely by Raith Rovers, who also went unbeaten on the day and sit just two points behind. A big well done goes to the two promoted sides, Linlithgow Rose CFC and Hibernian CF, who both made an impressive step up to the top flight and currently sit third and fourth respectively.

The Championship saw an equally strong start from Dunfermline Dynamos, who recorded four wins from four to set the early pace for 2026. They are followed closely by Carnoustie Panmure, who also enjoyed a positive opening round of fixtures.

In the Conference, it’s already shaping up to be a tightly contested division. Letham Angus sit top after Round 1, but the race is incredibly close with the top three teams all level on 8 points, and a further two teams just one point back on 7 points. With such fine margins, the Conference looks set for an exciting and unpredictable season.

A big thank you to our new Regional League Co-ordinator, David Callaghan, along with his team of regional representatives and referees, for their excellent support in delivering a smooth and successful opening day. Thanks also to all clubs and players for contributing to a strong start to the 2026 competitive season.
