Walking Football Scotland Shines at ‘Legends & Legacy’ Gala Dinner

Walking Football Scotland was honoured to attend the ‘Legends & Legacy’ Gala Dinner hosted by SNN Sports at the Golden Jubilee Hotel last night.

The event brought together some of Scottish football’s respected figures, including our Patron Gordon Smith, alongside Billy Davies, Gordon Dalziel, and Dougie Imrie. The evening was expertly hosted by David Tanner, who guided heartfelt discussions and memorable reflections from the guests about their time in the beautiful game.

The Gala Dinner celebrated the remarkable work of the Scottish Football Partnership, whose ongoing support continues to uplift and empower communities through football. We are sincerely grateful to both the Scottish Football Partnership and SNN Sports for giving Walking Football Scotland the opportunity to share our own story and mission.

Representing Walking Football Scotland were our trustees and President Kenny McLean, Gordon McAllister, Martin Jack, and Matt Ramsay. They were joined by former trustee Vivian Wallace, Amanda Mackay from Parkinson’s UK, neuro physiotherapist Lois Rosenthal, Colin Craig of Drumchapel United and former Arthur Duncan Award recipient, as well as referee Simon Reilly.

It was a truly inspiring evening that celebrated the past, acknowledged the present, and looked forward to the legacy being built across Scottish football.
