We are delighted to announce the 2026 nominees for the prestigious Arthur Duncan Award 2026, an honour that recognises individuals who embody the spirit, dedication, and sportsmanship that defined Arthur Duncan’s remarkable legacy.

The Arthur Duncan Award celebrates those who have made outstanding contributions to walking football—whether through leadership, commitment to community, exceptional playing spirit, or support for the development of the game across Scotland.

This year’s shortlist highlights a diverse and inspiring group of nominees from clubs across the country:

  • Alan Prosser – North Lanarkshire Council

  • Bill Cameron – Cowden in the Community

  • Dave Milne – Arbroath FC

  • Denny Byrne – EK Gerihatricks

  • Gary Duffy – Pars in the Foundation

  • Lynn Grant – Moray & Speyside WF

Each nominee has demonstrated exceptional commitment to walking football, helping grow participation, fostering positive environments, and setting standards of fairness and respect both on and off the pitch.

Walking Football Scotland would also like to thank everyone who submitted nominations this year. Your contributions and continued support help ensure that the spirit of the game—and Arthur Duncan’s legacy—remain strong.

The winner of the Arthur Duncan Award 2026 is selected by the Walking Football Scotland board of trustees, with the announcement to be made in the New Year.

Walking Football Scotland congratulates all nominees and thanks them for their dedication to the game, their clubs, and their communities.
