Jeanfield Rose Celebrate Algarve Success in Portugal! 🇵🇹⚽🏆
There was more Scottish success on the international walking football stage as a combined women's team from Jeanfield Swifts Community Football Club and Linlithgow Rose CFC enjoyed a fantastic trip to Portugal for the Over 50s Eurocopa Tournament.
Competing under the name ‘Jeanfield Rose’, the squad produced an excellent series of performances to reach the final, narrowly missing out on the trophy following a dramatic penalty shootout.
With temperatures reaching 26 degrees, the players certainly had to work hard, completing five 25-minute matches on the opening day and another four on the second day.
Despite the disappointment of losing the final, it was a tremendous team effort and another fantastic opportunity for the players to represent their clubs overseas, strengthen friendships and create special memories together.
Congratulations to everyone involved with Jeanfield Rose on their runners-up finish and for flying the flag for Scottish women's walking football in Portugal.
A brilliant achievement and another memorable adventure filled with football, friendship and sunshine! 👏🇵🇹⚽💙
