North Lanarkshire Walking Football League

Walking Football Scotland is delighted to announce that in partnership with Health & Social Care North Lanarkshire and North Lanarkshire Leisure we will be hosting the above event at the excellent Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility.

Games will be held indoors and outdoors on 3G pitches with fixtures commencing on Wednesday 25th April 2018.  As per last year, teams will meet on a monthly basis to play 3 league fixtures which will be 20 minutes per match.

Games will be played between 12pm – 2pm each month on the following dates:

Wednesday 26th September

Wednesday 31st October

Mediterranean Cup, Lloret de Mar, Spain

Dear Walking Football friends,

I am Steve Archibald ex Clyde, Aberdeen, Tottenham Hotspurs, FC Barcelona, Blackburn Rovers, Hibernian, Espanyol, St Mirren, Benfica, & East Fife.

I continue to play football and play with FC Barcelona veterans a couple of times a week which I really enjoy, but I also play Walking Football which is a great sport and helps keeps me fit, as well as being great fun.

I live in Barcelona with my family, and have done for some time, and now together with my business partner Silvio Sims Szegedi have introduced Walking Football into Spain.

“The Mediterranean Cup” will be held in Lloret de Mar from 3rd to 6th May this year where we will have teams from Catalonia and various regions of Spain playing.

I hope to see you guys here in Lloret in May, I along with some friends of mine will definitely be participating, promises to be a brilliant couple of days.

Coalfield Community Trust WF Cup

The walking football event will be played on Sunday 24th June @ Indodrill Stadium, Clackmannan Rd, Alloa FK10 1RY from 10am - 2pm on a 4G surface.

This is a FREE event with the winners lifting the CRT Community Cup and both finalists representing Scotland in the HOME Internationals on Sunday 29th July at Falkirk Stadium versus England and Wales. All participants will receive a medal and other awards such as player of the tounament and winners. 

All Scottish representatives will have the following things covered: Kit, Accomodation (if required), Food and all other activites provided by the Coalfield Regeneration Trust.

Dick Kerr Ladies Cup


The 2nd Annual International Womens Walking Football Tournament
In honour of the Dick, Kerr Ladies http://www.dickkerrladies.com/
The successful inaugural tournament took place in July 2017. An incredible 19 teams entered the tournament from across the UK. The tournament celebrated 100 years of the greatest ladies football team of all time, the Dick, Kerr Ladies. Now we look to celebrating 101 years of the worlds greatest by inviting teams from across the globe to come and take part in what will be another fantastic event!

About the Tournament:

Hosted at the University of Central Lancashire at the UCLan Sports Arena Preston

Teams of 6-A-Side Women (squad of up to 9 women players with flexi-substitutions)

Two age groups - Over 40's and Over 50's

Over 50's Teams must consist of over 50’s Women (with two women players over 40 permitted, but with only one over 40 on the pitch at any time)

Over 40's Teams must consist of over 40’s Women (with two women players over 30 permitted, but with only one over 30 on the pitch at any time)

Entry fee £35 per team (plus Eventbrite admin fee of £2.76). Please purchase one ticket per team at the checkout (not one per person!)

Closing date for entries is 31st May 2018.

The Dick, Kerr Ladies Fancy Dress Car Treasure Hunt (and Karaoke hot pot supper!) Saturday 7th July from 6pm till late!

All players and supporters are invited to take part in the pre-event social which will consist of a car treasure hunt and a social gathering including Karaoke and hotpot supper. Tickets are £10 per person (plus Eventbrite admin fee).

As always, all profits from the event will go towards supporting women's football initiatives as determined by the trustees of the Dick, Kerr Ladies Foundation. 

Dick, Kerr Ladies Foundation is a charity run solely by a group of volunteers.
